Nine Months or Bust

With Mia's ten month birthday right around the corner, I decided I better get on the nine month post.  Mia spent over two weeks of her ninth month at the beach, which you can read about here and here, not too bad of a way to spend your time if you ask me.  In between hanging out at the ocean and the pool she was also busy working on some developmental milestones to show off to the other kids in the church nursery.

Here's where we are nine months in:
Happy 9 Months Sweet Baby Mia!

Height:  28 1/4 inches 75-90%
Weight: 22 lbs 6 oz  95-97%

We are continually blessed by Mia's presence in our lives and feel so humbled God would entrust us with such a wonderful gift.

Mr. Cuddleruff and I got dressed up to attend the Royal Wedding and ended up waiting all day for our stroller to come and fetch us.  I really thought that Princess Kate and I could be friends, but after this snub I am not sure it will work out.

Here Mr. Cuddleruff, maybe wearing my hat will make you feel better.  Don't be sad, we can have our own party.
After the wedding snub, we decided to throw our own party and not invite those silly royals- Happy Birthday Aunt Jill!

Birthday parties are very serious business.

We decided to let loose a little and hang out at the park.

Apparently I let loose a little too much because the next thing I knew my buddy Caden had my bloomers.  He seemed really proud of himself.  Mommy and Ms. Stacy laughed, but when we sent Daddy a picture he did not.

After all the excitement Mommy & Daddy thought I might be ready to try some big kid food.  These are called puffs... they tell me all the big kids eat them.

Hmmm... got it.

It feels pretty neat Mom, what do I do with it?  Even though it seems all things go in my mouth I couldn't quite figure out what to do with this so, Mommy helped me.  And it was...

Terrible... Mommy, why would you do such a thing to me?

I had to go upstairs and play straight away.  Maybe chewing on this plastic cow will get that wretched taste out of my mouth. The superstar stage is my all time favorite toy and this month I learned how to play the saxophone on it.

It was almost time to head to the beach when I heard Mommy telling Aunt Libby she was excited I wasn't mobile yet.  Aunt Libby was sad, but for some reason Mommy thought the beach would be more fun if she wasn't chasing me around.  Well, I really like Aunt Libby so I decided I better get moving and a couple of days before we left for Florida I started army crawling around.

Sorry about the clothes Mommy, were those folded up for a reason?

I had my first encounter with the pool and the ocean...
and the sand.
One day while I was patiently waiting for pool time to start Mommy looked over and started jumping up and down.  I waited till we were all the way in Florida to finally pick up a puff and eat it myself.  It turns out I do like them after all.  Mommy was so excited Daddy was worried she might wake the neighbors.  I told Daddy to calm down...it was already 6am, who isn't up by then?

Being 9 months old was so much fun- I wish I could do it again.  But, since I can't I guess I'll just have to see what 10 months brings!
