Torn between the excitement of having our own space back, and the guilt we felt caused by Dr. Google when I read that room sharing reduces SIDS for the first 6 months,we decided to do the rational thing and simply sign on the "Emma train" as groupies...
And, we moved to her room too.
She seemed to approve of said move and displayed this approval by gracing us with long, consistent stretches of sleep each night. Which she would willingly fall into on her own, without much more than a kiss and song each night. Hallelujah!
And every Mama of a newborn said- Amen!
At the time we were so excited as we knew this was just a sign of even greater things to come. Since I am writing this in hind site I can now confidently say...
Greater things have not come.
Currently sweet Emma is 5 months of age and I still refer to those as the glory days.
How glorious they were...
Three months saw more smiles, more tummy time, and many more "firsts" in the life of our sweet baby girl.
Still super cuddly, Emma is such a fun addition to our family. Her smile lights up the room and her baby chatter and precious giggle are almost too much for this Mama heart to handle. How I love our newest baby girl.
After talking it over with the middle schoolers on craft day...
And reconfirming with some other middle schoolers at the New Years Eve Bash..
I talked it over with Mommy and Mia and decided it was time to say farewell to the Nap Nanny and move to my own room
I love my bed, it's so cozy and my room is so peaceful.
Well at least most of the time... And as it turns out everyone seems to agree...
since they refuse to leave...at first I was ticked and then I thought...
I might as well make the most of it and enjoy the company.
And practice my silly faces.
I found my feet.
And my hands.
And met the best toy ever invented.
I had a lot of first's: like the church nursery...
and snow
and eating out sans big sis...
at the Hibachi Steakhouse. Who knew it was geriatric night?

I enjoyed my first of several breakfast dates...
with this cutie. My Mom says he's a keeper.
I'm not exactly sure what that means but she says the same thing about Daddy too...
Good thing because us little girls really like him.
And finally after all those firsts I decided to take a little break before posing for my 3 month picture.
See you next month!
