The Sayings of Mia

 Because looking at the world through the eyes of a child is one of the funniest things ever...

Endearing First Terms:

-Beep, Beeps: referring to cars

-Beep: referring to her favorite book of the moment "Little Blue Truck"

-Big Beep, Beeps: referring to trucks

-Night, night: referring to naps and bedtime

-Bebe: referring to her baby dolls

-Baby "insert object here" & Big "insert object here": Mia's terms for big and little items

-Nolm: milk

Miaisms in Toddlerhood: 

-"Bye Babes": to John as he was leaving the house 

-"See us, see us": over and over again after I told her we would not be playing with friends that day and it would be just "us"

-"You're a different Daddy": to John when he shaved his beard

-"That's your baby": pointing to Nannie K's belly when she came over and I was still pregnant

-"I go to Target": while playing

-"I go fast": The day she turned 2 and we turned her car seat forward

-"I love you Miss Daddy": to John after he called her Miss Mia

-"Daddy's car": every time she sees the yellow sports car in her "First Words" book

-After putting a blow up reindeer on the steps to sit alone. "Reindeers in time-out. He hit Mommy": Christmas Season 2012

-Mia: (almost on the verge of a minor melt down): I want the cat book. Caaaat Booook
Me: Mia I don't know which book you are talking about
Mia: (becoming increasingly aggravated): The cat book Mama, the cat book.
Me: Mia, do you know the name of the book? We do not have a book titled "Cat Book"
Mia: The Caaaaaat Book
Me: (last ditch effort- expecting her to say duh, mom cats): Do you know what the book is about?
Mia: Dogs.


-"I wear my feet Mama, I wear my feet": in response to being asked to put on shoes before going outside

-"Mommy, Mom, MaaMaa": evolution of what she calls me... shortened by herself

-Me: "What do you want to be when you grow up Mia?"
Mia: "Emma." "I want to be Emma when I grow up": Mia @ 34 months old

- While watching me change clothes "Don't pee pee on the floor Mommy, don't pee pee on the floor" :Mia 34 months old

-Counting "1,2,3.... 13,14,15,Allison" Mia 34 months old

-"I love you this day Mommy" 35 months old

-Seeing a woman in the grocery store wearing white flip flops like Charlotte's Mia said "She is borrowing Lotti's flip flops Mommy, she is borrowing Lottie's flip flops" 35 months old
