My Very First Day of Hearts: The Quest For a Sweet Treat

My Mom mentioned there might be sweet treats on this Day of Hearts. I was so excited about it I woke up at 6:30am

I started my day with rice cereal. No chocolate here...

My Daddy left me this shiny balloon.

Nope, it's not sweet either.

Hi, Mr. Cuddle Ruff my name is Mia.  Can you help me find some sweet treats?

Sorry Mr. Cuddle Ruff, but the situation is urgent...

I am going to have to check your leg for sweet treats my furry friend.

After having no luck at my own house, I asked my buddy Levi in Cali to be my valentine. Later, my Daddy would tell me that boys initiate not girls.  Daddy is upset Levi did not step up like my friend Caden.  Caden asked me to be his valentine, but  neither boys showed up with sweet treats. Boys... so much to learn...

I went searching for sweets on my activity mat, but that parrot's tail tasted just the same as it did yesterday.

Exhausted, I got back in my crib and tried to reason with Mr. Snuffles and the Gang.  They didn't seem to understand and continued to dance in circles above my head like always.  I thought they were mocking my search and it made me so upset I decided I would not take a nap.

Mommy and I met Daddy and Nannie K for ice cream!  Do you see it???  The beautiful sweet treat we got! I was so excited my face froze and I couldn't even smile for the camera!

Hmmm... this is not what I thought a sweet treat would taste like...

Nannie K, tell me the truth- was that a sweet treat I just had?

After ice cream Mommy and I went home and waited for Daddy to get off of work. He was so happy I think he must have eaten all the sweet treats in the truck on the way home.  Not cool, Daddy.

Maybe this book has a map to where I can find my treat!

Hmmm... maybe I left it on my finger.

When bath time came I knew my chances of finding something sweet were getting slim.  I decided to try some of Daddy's finger... maybe he had some left over from the way home.  Sorry Daddy, your finger is not sweet. I must have bit him hard- look at that face.  Oh well, you can't blame a girl for trying.
